ResidentAid.org Halloween Resident Evil Marathon Event - Oct 28th-Oct 31st(?) 2011

Welcome to ResidentAid.org!

I like to play Resident Evil for fun and charity. The Resident Evil marathon for this year is over. I played RE:CV HD, and RE4 HD starting around 10:30 pm on on Friday Oct 28th 2011 and finished around 1:15 am on Sunday the 30th. I finished each game in around 14 hrs. We'll see if I can practice up for next year and maybe pare the numbers down a bit. Maybe I'll try to do 0-5?

Thank you to anyone who watched. No one donated aside from my mom who I want to say a big thank you to! Thanks Mom! I hoping we can get some participation in the chat next year. We had so much fun the first time! There was very little chat participation this time though checking stats it looks like around 60-70 people checked it out each day and watched for an average of 30 min. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and checked it out!

Streaming RE:CV HD and RE4 HD! Starting closer to 10:30pm EST on Oct 28th 2011. Just had a setback where I hadn't managed to download RE:CV yet and I want to start with that so I'm downloading it now rather than just starting with RE4 since it's a long game and I'd rather do it in order.

Oct 2nd 2011 Just want to let everyone know that I'll be doing the marathon again this year! I'm settled into my new job and with the release of RE4 HD and Code Veronica HD I can think of no better time or way to continue the marathon since I didn't get to play those two titles last time.

I'm going to go easy on myself this time and only promise to play 1 game in this "marathon", RE4 HD. Perhaps if there is time and I have motivation I'll play some or all of RE:CV. Hmmm, I was thinking of starting on Saturday morning, but maybe I'll start right off on Friday night of Oct 28th. Let's say around 8pm Eastern time (-5:00) and play as long as it takes (with normal sleep and meal breaks) to finish RE4 with CV a possibility.

I hope that you will take a moment to stop in and check it out!

Considering that Vermont has suffered another disaster, this time less personal but more devastating, I'll be collecting donations for the hurricane Irene relief effort.

Note: The Resident Evil games contain scary images as well as blood and gore. The video content is intended for viewers ages 17 and older.

10-28-2010 Howdy! Just wanted to thank everyone who made last years marathon a success. I've talked about and considered doing another one this year but I don't think I'm going to. I'm in a pretty different situation now. I just got a new job and moved, etc... In short, now is not the right time. Maybe next year. :)

So the Resident Evil marathon was very successful! We raised $335 for this cause and got through Resident Evils 0-3 and 5. We skipped Code Veronica and 4 for time reasons but I may do this again in the future when I've practiced more to get through the games more quickly.

I'm planning to do some more streaming events in the future that will not necessarily be benefits although some may. Please search for playongo at http://www.ustream.tv/ or visit http://www.playongo.com/ for more info.

This site hosted an event on November 1st-4th 2009 to benefit the residents displaced by the Church St. fire in Randolph Vermont that occurred on Sept. 25th 2009. See the menu links for more information about the site.
